It’s time for Wardrobe Wednesday!

Inspired by this whimsical, vegetable print from David and Dash, we decided to highlight the asparagus within the print & pair it with an asparagus printed frock from Vested Gentress.

About the company:  ”Vested Gentress was established in 1961 and was based in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Their factory was located in Trappe, Pennsylvania, about twelve miles from Valley Forge. The company was known for whimsical screenprinted fabrics. These fabrics were made into dresses, slacks, and skirts. They also had a line of golf wear. The company closed in the late 1980s.” (Written by Lizzie Bramlett, fuzzylizzie.com)

I was going through our children’s wear collection today and came across this white cotton little girl’s dress with cutwork and lace. It dates from the mid-19th century. I couldn’t help but compare it to this Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony dress from her new resort collection. Via elle.com
